A Taste of Universal Review: Universal Studios Hollywood

During the historic year of Covid, theme parks were forced to find a new way

of entertainment for their guest and Universal Studios Hollywood was no exception. I must say they exceeded my expectations of hosting an event with limited to no rides. We were able to experience A Taste of Universal on the last day of the event. The event cost was $55 per adult and children 3 and under free. This included 5 normal size tastings, photo ops, access to both upper and bottom lots, rehearsal rides, and minimal people in the park.

Our absolute favorite part of this event was being able to introduce Amara to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Amara was able to walk around freely and she absolutely loved waving her wand to cast spells. If you have ever had doubts about bringing a toddler I hope this eases your mind, there is something for all ages to enjoy.

In our opinion this event was well thought out and we felt perfectly safe. There was plenty of room for social distancing, everyone was following mask guidelines and the food was great. Our favorites were the butter beer, Fish and Chips from the Three Broomsticks in the Wizarding World, and the chicken nachos from the new Minion Cafe in Funland. Amara also got to ride her first ride as a toddler, which was a surprise due to technical rehearsals in preparation for the parks re-opening.

The overall food festival, theme park experience from Universal Studios Hollywood was such a positive and great time, especially for theme park loving parents such as us. We had no real expectations and we left feeling like things were slowly getting back to normal in the world.
