The magic is back! We have waited for this moment over a year and Disneyland/ Disney California Adventure did not disappoint! The build up to taking Amara to Disneyland was even more exciting, but our trips would not have gone as well if we did not have these items listed below. The listed items are a need based on my honest review and I hope these items will help on your next trip to the parks with your little ones.

1. SNACKS

My number one item (s) that I cannot leave the house without is the snacks! Are you seriously trying to avoid a melt-down or having your picky eater not eat anything all day?, then you must plan to pack some of their favorites from home. Amara is a huge fan of most of all Earths Best products, their items are all organic and are pretty tasty even for adults. Pretty much any of their favorites that are non perishable or food items that do not need refrigeration will always work.

2. SUNBLOCK/HAT

Another must have to avoid any further problems, especially skin peeling and burning is sunblock. If you plan on spending the whole day at the park even if it is shaded please smother your self and your little one in sun protectants such as a hat, sunblock etc.

3. EXTRA OUTFITS

One of the most important things I have learned since becoming a mother is to always pack extra clothes. If you know you know that accidents happen sometimes in the most random way, so it is better to be prepared. Also the weather in Southern California tends to be much cooler when nightfall hits, so if planning a full park day I would recommend bringing light jackets , pants, etc for a chilly night.

4. STAND BY LINE ENTERTAINMENT

Avoiding long wait times at theme parks in general is almost impossible, so in order to keep Miss busy body Amara from losing her cool we make sure to bring snacks, and either myself or Rob will take turns running back and forth playing chase or holding her. We try not to have any screen time during this time but sometimes it is inevitable, so last resort is Bluey on our smartphones.

5. PATIENCE!

I know you're thinking well this is a given, but I want to give you a friendly reminder to please prepare yourself to have extra patience with your little ones on park days. Everyone is excited, anxious, and just caught in the moment and melt-downs are inevitable when all these factors are involved, Sensory Overload! Overall just live in the moment enjoy the parks through the eyes of your children, it is the best experience!
